Life in the Astros

R.I.P DJ AM
By now I am sure that you have heard the tragic news of the unfortunate passing of Adam Goldstein, better known as DJ AM. While many of us may know Adam for his large collection of shoes and being a Hollywood liason for the sneaker community, AM was an incredible person that is worthy of more than a moment of pause and thought.
Countless people experienced his inspiring performances as a DJ, but his recent mission as a recovering addict to help other families and friends intervene with addiction deserves the ultimate praise. Please keep Adam’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers this weekend.
Adam, may you forever rest in peace.

SLAM Presents JORDAN
It has already been six years since Michael Jordan hung up his kicks for good, but his impact on the game will forever continue. SLAM Magazine has assembled a special commemorative issue properly titled JORDAN that gives readers a look from beginning to end the story of the legacy of Michael Jordan and his impact on the sport, the shoes, and the business.

Look for this special edition issue to arrive on news stands next week. Consider this one of the few mags you will want to buy like your favorite kicks - one to read and enjoy and another to keep on ice.
